There are so many different issues that associations deal with on a
regular basis. Technology decisions are just one of them. Many
orgnanizations invested in software five or seven years ago, and
they are realizing that they are going to have to invest in a new
system or invest in enhancing their current system. Associations
today are under tight budget constraints, but the are still looking at
ways to move their organization forward by solving critical problems.
Many times, these problems are caused by or could by eliminated by
software.
As you look at the possibility of investing in new software or in
enahancing what you have, what are the current issues you should be
thinking about in order to make the best decisions? Following are some
articles that will help you understand the main issues effected by your
technology decisions and some create ideas we've come up with to solve
the issues.
Strategy Analysis #1: Farming it out
In this article we explore strategies that make sense in getting all the pieces of your organization working together. Strategy Analysis #2: Process Flow
Understanding process flow within your organization allows for a
greater visibility into how things actually get done across different
jobs and departments. It makes clear which activities have "always
been done" but aren't really adding any real value to your customers.
And it exposes things that you should be doing to help move your
organization forward in its goals and objectives.
